Befriending Project

Thanks to successfully obtaining grants from three funding sources (Baily Thomas, Clare Milne Trust & Cornwall Community Foundation) we have recently started delivering a befriending service. The early signs are very encouraging and benefits are accruing to those receiving the service and the volunteers delivering it. We’ll keep you informed of its progress. Please feel free to contact us if you’d like to find out more about it.

Committee

We’re pleased to announce that Debbie Matthews has been appointed as our new Treasurer & Gavin Pedley has taken on the role of Secretary of the DCAS. We’re very grateful and happy to welcome them aboard.

EGM

The DCAS will be holding an EGM on 23rd May 2012 at Sterling Court in Penryn. The meeting will start at 6pm. All members welcome. Please call Mark Hilley on 01872 278378 for more details.

Parents’/Family Support Group

We will be holding the first meeting of the Parents’/Family Support Group on Wednesday 20th July at Spectrum’s Three Bridges School in Blackwater.

The session will run between between 6.30pm and 8.30pm as a drop-in facility.

Hopefully it will provide an opportunity for those attending to discuss their own particular issues with people who understand, can empathise, and will probably be a source of invaluable practical advice.

Refreshments will be available and there is ample parking on site. Directions are here….090618_Directions_Three_Bridges
